Writer/Producer Koji Steven Sakai has accumulated an impressive repertoire of film and television projects, with his works showcased on an array of prominent platforms including Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, Peacock, Paramount+, Roku, and Tubi. Throughout his career, he has had the privilege of collaborating with a diverse range of talented and award-winning actors and filmmakers, including the likes of Cuba Gooding Jr., Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, James Shigeta, Michael Jai White, Mel Gibson, Mickey Rourke, Randall Park, RZA, Samuel L. Jackson, Terrence Howard, and Wilson Cruz.
Koji has written a total of eleven feature films that have been successfully produced, and has also served as a producer on nine feature films. Furthermore, he has produced a one-hour comedy special that premiered on Netflix, as well as a comedy series that premiered on both Hulu and Peacock. His most recent endeavor is the completion of writing for a Japanese television series, slated for Disney+.
In addition to his extensive work in screenwriting, Koji has also ventured into the realm of book and graphic novel writing. He is also the co-host, writer, and producer of The Unofficial Official Story Podcast, and has taught screenwriting courses at both UCLA Extension and New York Film Academy.
