Krist Novoselic is a renowned American musician and political activist, famously recognized as the bassist and a founding member of the iconic rock band Nirvana. Nirvana's immense success led to numerous gold and platinum awards, as well as worldwide tours at sold-out shows.
Following Nirvana's disbandment in 1994, after the untimely passing of its frontman Kurt Cobain, Novoselic went on to form Sweet 75 in 1995 and Eyes Adrift in 2002, releasing one album with each band. From 2006 to 2009, he played with the punk rock band Flipper, and in 2011, he contributed bass and accordion to the song "I Should Have Known" on the Foo Fighters' studio album Wasting Light.
In 2017, Novoselic joined the band Giants in the Trees, where he currently plays bass and accordion.
Aside from his musical pursuits, Novoselic has been an active advocate for political change. He co-founded the Joint Artists and Musicians Political Action Committee and wrote a weekly column on music and politics for the Seattle Weekly website from 2007 to 2010.
Since 2008, Novoselic has served as the board chair of the electoral reform organization FairVote.
