Kristen Breitweiser is a lawyer and one of the Jersey Girls, four women from New Jersey who lost their husbands in the September 11, 2001 attacks. Her husband, Ronald Michael Breitweiser, was a senior vice president at Fiduciary Trust International and was killed in the attacks at the age of 39.
After her husband's death, Breitweiser became a vocal critic of the Bush Administration, feeling that they did not adequately respond to the attacks. She even changed her political affiliation from Republican to Independent and supported John Kerry in the 2004 presidential election.
