Kristoffer Rus, a talented director and producer, made his feature film debut with the 2022 movie "Into the Wind". The film premiered on Netflix and gained immense popularity, becoming one of the top ten most-watched non-English language films worldwide.
Rus's subsequent film, "Too Old for Fairy Tales", released in 2022, broke records in Poland, having the best opening weekend for a family film since 1989. After its Netflix premiere, it became the most-watched non-English language film globally in July 2022.
Rus's fascination with darker themes led him to collaborate with Viaplay to produce the true crime series "Murderesses". The series premiered on Viaplay in October 2023 and debuted at number one. It quickly became the most-watched series on Netflix in Poland, with viewers averaging 207 minutes of viewing time per episode, exceeding the series' total runtime of 254 minutes.
In March 2024, Rus released the highly anticipated sequel "Too Old for Fairy Tales 2" in Polish cinemas, which attracted over 620,000 admissions.
Since 2022, Rus has served as the Head of Paprika Studios Poland, overseeing the production of "Murderesses" for Viaplay Poland, Netflix, and FX, as well as service producing "Fury Resurrection" for Amazon Prime, "End of Summer" for Viaplay Sweden, and "Agent Hamilton" for TV4 Sweden.
