Kurt Krause, a talented actor, was born in Alabama and spent his formative years growing up in the culturally rich state of Louisiana, where his childhood was immersed in the arts. As the youngest of three, his upbringing was filled with the excitement of the stage, as his parents, who met while acting together in a show, practically raised their children on the stage. Kurt's early years were marked by many nights spent backstage, and one memorable evening, he even fell asleep on a mattress behind a set that had been used for a window stunt each night.
In addition to his experiences in community theater, Kurt's passion for the theatrical arts was nurtured in grade school, where he studied the subject. Upon graduating from high school, he continued his education at Louisiana State University, where he won awards for his portrayal of a homosexual soldier on stage. During his time at university, Kurt further honed his craft by performing in the local stand-up comedy scene and studying physical theater.
After completing his education, Kurt began pursuing a career in film. He has since gained recognition for his roles in a variety of notable productions, including American Horror Story in 2011, True Detective in 2014, and Painted Horses in 2017. He has also had the opportunity to work alongside renowned actors, such as Kevin Costner, in the award-winning film Hidden Figures, released in 2016. Furthermore, Kurt featured in a recurring role on Season 3 of ABC's critically acclaimed drama American Crime in 2015.
