Kyra Zagorsky, a multifaceted individual, was born in the vibrant city of New York, but her formative years were spent in the breathtaking state of Colorado, where she developed a deep appreciation for the great outdoors.
As a young person, Kyra was an athletic and artistic individual, with a passion for dance and a natural aptitude for the performing arts. Her academic pursuits led her to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in theatre from Southern Oregon University, a prestigious institution located in the charming town of Ashland.
Furthering her education, Kyra went on to receive a Master of Fine Arts degree in Acting from the University of California, a renowned institution that has produced many accomplished thespians.
Throughout her early career, Kyra had the opportunity to play leading roles in regional theatre productions across the United States, honing her craft and gaining valuable experience.
However, in 2007, Kyra made the transition to television and film, marking a significant milestone in her professional journey. Her breakout role came in the form of Dr. Julia Walker in Ron Moore's critically acclaimed series "Helix".
In recent years, Kyra has continued to push herself creatively, and in 2020, she completed her Master of Arts Degree in Film and Television from the Savannah College of Art and Design, a prestigious institution that recognizes and rewards academic excellence.
