Lane Davies, a talented stage and television actor, was born in Dalton, Georgia. With a career spanning over three decades, he has had the opportunity to play a wide range of roles in various productions across the United States, from Hamlet and Macbeth to Richard III, King Lear, Petruchio, Henry V, and Cyrano de Bergerac.
One of his most notable roles was as the original 'Mason Capwell' on NBC's 80s soap opera Santa Barbara, which has been broadcast in over 53 countries worldwide. He has also starred in four prime-time series, including Good & Evil, The Mommies, Woops!, and The Crew.
Lane has appeared in numerous television shows, including Lois & Clark - The New Adventures of Superman, 3rd Rock from the Sun, The Practice, and Scrubs, among others. He has made guest-star appearances on popular shows such as Seinfeld, Working, The Nanny, Ellen, Jesse, Coach, Major Dad, Clueless, Married With Children, and Just Shoot Me.
In addition to his acting career, Lane has worked as a consultant, writer, and producer for Walt Disney Attractions on projects for Tokyo Disney Sea and EuroDisney. He has also served as the Artistic Director for the Santa Susana Repertory Company, a professional resident theater company in Ventura County, and has produced and/or directed over 40 productions.
Lane has also founded two Shakespeare festivals, the Kingsmen Shakespeare Festival in Thousand Oaks, California, which is now in its 13th season, and the Tennessee Shakespeare Festival in Bell Buckle, Tennessee, which is in its third year.
