Lanette, a talented individual, hails from Manhattan, New York, where she was born and raised. She began her journey in the world of entertainment at a tender age, starring in her first commercial when she was just three years old. Her passion for the arts was evident from a young age, and she went on to study cinematic language at The Toronto Film School, earning a BA in Drama from the London, UK/New York State Theater Academy.
In addition to her academic achievements, Lanette is a published writer and a certified basic Spanish teacher. Her early training in music theory, writing, and directing came from the prestigious High School of Performing Arts and the Diller Quaile Music School in New York.
Lanette's extensive experience in the entertainment industry has led her to work with notable playwrights, including John Henry Redwood, with whom she helped develop the lead role in his final theatrical work, "An 'Ole Soul, A Young Spirit", at The New Harmony Project in New Harmony, Indiana.
As the CEO of A WWB Production, Inc. and a member of the Academy/CMPA, The Actors Studio, NY/LA, WIF-T, and acting unions SAG/AFTRA/AEA//UBCP, Lanette is dedicated to producing projects that showcase underrepresented and marginalized communities of color, providing accurate depictions of themselves on screen.
In 2024, Lanette is set to produce an original premium drama series, a preschool animated series, a detective procedural, a documentary series featuring mature women across genres and provinces, as well as a short-form romantic comedy.
Lanette is represented by The Characters Talent Agency in all categories, solidifying her status as a prominent figure in the entertainment industry.
