LANRE IDEWU is a multifaceted individual with a diverse range of talents and passions. As an actor, he has appeared in various projects, including the AMC Network ALLBLK series "Hush" and the Max (formerly HBOMax) series "South Side". He has also starred in the dating suspense thriller "The Match" and the gritty crime drama "Kold x Windy", both on AMC/ALLBLK. Additionally, he has made appearances in other projects such as "Sherman's Showcase" and "A Kill for a Kill", which has received critical acclaim.
As a writer, Lanre has written scripts for Hallmark and Netflix, including the romantic comedy "Christmas with a Kiss". He has also written three additional romantic comedy scripts and an Afrobeats musical in development.
As a producer, Lanre has worked on various projects, including the web series "Dream House" and the documentary "Miles College" for AppleTV. He has also produced and starred in the short narrative film "The Invisible Ones", which addresses the Homelessness Crisis and secured a distribution deal through AMC. Lanre is currently in production on "Ali 1978: The Butterfly's Last Dance", a scripted feature about Muhammad Ali.
Lanre has also held various executive positions, including Chief Operating Officer of Queen Nefertari Productions (QNP),a feature film & TV production company backed by a $30 million film fund. Under his leadership, QNP released three films in 30 days and launched the Film Finance and Packaging division of The Gersh Agency.
Lanre has been recognized for his contributions to the entertainment industry, including being named a 'Future Media Maven' by Variety Magazine. He has worked on numerous films & TV projects for various networks and studios, including NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX, Showtime, AMC, HBO, Comedy Central, BET, E! Entertainment Television, CW, TF1, ZDF, iTunes, Netflix, Magnolia Pictures, and more.
Outside of his entertainment career, Lanre is dedicated to helping solve Homelessness, Social Injustice, and Child Trafficking. He has also founded the Health & Wellness Company FIT4LA and served as the Ambassador to Africa for Hyperloop Transportation Technologies.
