Larissa Bryant, the only child of Ronnie Bryant, a devoted pastor, and the late Minnie Gayle Crenshaw Bryant, a compassionate nurse, has always showcased a remarkable aptitude for performance, whether it be theatrical, musical, or athletic.
Born and raised in Glasgow, KY, Larissa's interest in acting began to unfold during her high school years when she enrolled in speech and drama. Although she never auditioned for the school's annual theatrical production, she thrived as a member of her high school's Beta chapter group, taking home the National Championship honor in talent her junior and senior years at Glasgow High School.
Larissa's first foray into acting came by chance, when the catering director of a film being shot in the area accidentally totaled her father's truck, prompting her father to suggest she audition for the film. Despite her initial hesitation, Larissa landed her first background role in Runaway Romance.
After attending Glasgow High School, Larissa pursued undergraduate studies at Western Kentucky University, following in her mother's footsteps by becoming a nurse. She then transferred to Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN, where she earned a degree in nursing and became a Family Nurse Practitioner, spending several years working in the field before choosing to pursue a career in entertainment.
However, Larissa's life took an unexpected turn when she was struck by a rare illness, leaving her unable to walk, stand, or use her hands and left arm. Defeated, she accepted that a career in film was no longer an option. Five years later, an opportunity arose for her to audition, and Larissa seized the chance to rekindle her passion for the art of film.
Today, Larissa is driven by her mantra, "I will, I can, I must!" and is excited to explore the various aspects of film, from acting to producing to being a crew member.
