Larissa Wohl, a dynamic journalist, was born and raised in the picturesque town of Calabasas, where her passion for animal welfare was nurtured from a tender age. As the pet-rescue expert on Hallmark Channel's popular daytime lifestyle talk show, "Home & Family", Larissa shares her expertise to empower viewers to live their best lives.

Growing up, Larissa joined her mother in their mission to rescue and care for a diverse array of unwanted animals, transforming their household into a haven for those in need. This early exposure instilled in Larissa a deep empathy for the voiceless, and she has since dedicated herself to continuing her mother's legacy by volunteering, fostering, and advocating for animal welfare.

Throughout her educational journey, Larissa honed her skills at Calabasas High School and San Francisco State University, where she delved deeper into animal-welfare issues and volunteered at local shelters. Her academic pursuits laid the foundation for her future success as a journalist.

Upon graduating, Larissa began her professional career as a morning traffic anchor and live field reporter for the NBC affiliate in Tucson, Arizona. Her versatility, strong journalistic skills, and ability to tackle a wide range of stories quickly made her a go-to reporter for the station.
