Laura Brunkala, a Cleveland, OH native, spent her formative years at Brush High School, where her passion for drama led her to participate in the Ohio State Theater Competition. Her enthusiasm for the arts only intensified as she attended Miami University (OH),where she became deeply involved in the film department and made her feature film debut.
As a junior at Miami, Laura had the opportunity to showcase her work at the university's film festival, where she was exposed to influential filmmakers from around the world. This experience sparked her desire to relocate to Los Angeles and pursue a career in acting and filmmaking.
After graduating from Miami in 2008, Laura made the bold move to Los Angeles, where she began to build a successful career in the entertainment industry. Her early endeavors included acting in commercials, starring in a pilot for Discovery Science, and appearing in various professional productions.
In 2012, Laura took on the challenge of writing, directing, and producing her first short film, "Messy is Perfect," which was completed in 2013. The success of this project led to a surge in interest from other filmmakers, who approached Laura to direct their projects. She discovered a natural aptitude for directing and began to take on additional roles on the production side of the industry.
Throughout her career, Laura has demonstrated her versatility by directing, producing, and acting in a wide range of projects, from shorts to TV pilots, TV shows, and features. Today, she resides in Los Angeles, CA, where she continues to hone her craft, learning from the best in the industry and creating movie magic.
