Laura Pitt-Pulford is a talented British actress, renowned for her captivating performances in musical theatre and television. Born in Rugby, she began her journey in the arts at the tender age of 12, joining a local youth operatic group and later training in drama at the prestigious Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts.
Her breakthrough role came in 2015, when she played the spirited Milly in Regent's Park Open Air Theatre's production of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. Critics raved about her performance, with The Daily Telegraph praising her "sparky, indomitable" portrayal, and The Stage commending her "radiant, ravishing" stage presence. Her outstanding performance earned her a nomination for the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Musical.
Pitt-Pulford's subsequent roles include appearances in the musical Flowers for Mrs. Harris at the Crucible Theatre, Sheffield, and the UK premiere of Side Show at the Southwark Playhouse. In 2017, she took on the title role in a UK touring production of Nell Gwynn, followed by a stint as Chairy Barnum in the 2017 revival of the Cy Coleman musical Barnum at the Menier Chocolate Factory, alongside comedian Marcus Brigstocke.
In 2019, she played the role of Sheryl Hoover in the Off West End European premiere of Little Miss Sunshine at the Arcola Theatre. Pitt-Pulford's versatility was further showcased in 2020, when she sang the song "One Small Step" from the anime Dr. Stone.
Her extensive stage credits also include appearances in The Sound of Music, Sunset Boulevard, Hello Dolly!, and Falsettos. On television, she has had guest roles in Father Brown, Doctors, and The Split, as well as a recurring role as Carol Butler in the popular soap opera Emmerdale.
