Lauren Layfield is a multifaceted English television and radio presenter, as well as a journalist, who has established herself as a prominent figure in the entertainment industry, primarily working for CBBC and Capital FM.
Her journey with CBBC began in September 2015, when she joined the continuity team following the one-off TV special, Hacker's Birthday Bash: 30 Years of Children's BBC. This marked the start of her tenure as a co-host on the design series, The Dengineers, alongside Mark Wright. However, Wright's departure in April 2017 led to his replacement by Joe Tracini.
In January 2016, Lauren expanded her portfolio by joining All Over the Place, where she co-hosted the show alongside Ed Petrie. Her versatility as a presenter has also seen her make one-off appearances in various game shows, including Ultimate Brain and Celebrity Mastermind, as well as four appearances on the panel show, The Dog Ate My Homework.
In 2017, Lauren took on the role of host for the music show, The Playlist, showcasing her passion for music and her ability to engage audiences. She has also presented the "Match of the Day" spin-off show, MOTD Kickabout, demonstrating her adaptability across different genres.

From January 7th, 2019, Lauren took on the role of presenting the Capital Early Breakfast show, working alongside Rob Howard as the main relief for the Capital Breakfast with Roman Kemp. Throughout her career, Lauren has consistently demonstrated her ability to adapt to new roles and formats, making her a valuable asset to both CBBC and Capital FM.
