Layla Olwy, a talented Egyptian actress, was born to an Egyptian father and a Greek mother, her full name being Leyla Ahmed E'lwy. She embarked on her acting career at a young age, initially appearing on radio broadcasts with Abla Fadeela and later on children's television programming with Mama Samiha.
Layla's education took place at French schools, and she graduated from the faculty of commerce in 1991.
