Lee Grober is a multifaceted actor who has made a name for himself in the film, television, and stage industries. His versatility has led to a wide range of roles, often typecast as doctors, lawyers, and detectives on screen.
Grober has appeared in several feature films, including the leading role of Sonny, a possessed professor, in the feature Witchcraft - Salem's Ghost and the film Scrambled. His television credits include the ABC sitcom Over The Top, alongside Tim Curry, Annie Potts, and Steve Carell, as well as the syndicated series Nightman and the primetime premiere movie of Port Charles.
In addition to his screen work, Grober has also had a successful career in soap operas, appearing in roles on The Young and Restless, General Hospital, Bold and the Beautiful, As the World Turns, and One Life to Live. Furthermore, he has appeared alongside Terry Bradshaw and Howie Long in a promo for NFL Fox Sunday, showcasing his range as a studio executive.
Grober holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in Acting from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts Grad Acting program. During his time at NYU, he had the opportunity to work with renowned playwright Tony Kushner, who cast and directed him in several of his original plays. Grober has also appeared in numerous projects with Kushner in later years, including Hydriotaphia or The Death of Doctor Brown, starring Camryn Manheim and Stephen Spinella.
Throughout his career, Grober has performed in over eighty plays, showcasing his range in classical roles such as the title role in Hamlet and a European tour of MacBeth. His regional theater credits include the Berkshire Theatre Festival, New Jersey Shakespeare Festival, Asolo Theater, the Lyric Theater, and Mt. Gretna Playhouse. Grober was also awarded the Dramalogue Award for his work in The Matchmaker at the Colony Theater in Los Angeles.
Currently, Grober is employed as an Adjunct Professor of Acting at West Los Angeles College, where he shares his expertise with students and continues to inspire the next generation of actors.
