Ondrade's journey in the entertainment industry began as a make-up artist, but her experiences on a photo shoot in the Dominican Republic sparked a change of heart. She grew disillusioned with the attitudes of certain models she encountered and decided to pursue her own dreams.
Prior to her modeling and acting career, Ondrade attended the prestigious National Ballet School in Toronto, where she honed her skills. She made her acting debut in the 1999 film Detroit Rock City, playing a small but significant role.
Seeking new opportunities, Ondrade relocated to California, where she continued to grow her career. She became a sought-after model, posing for various magazines, including Fit Beauties Magazine. Her work in the entertainment industry also led to appearances in music videos featuring renowned artists Janet Jackson and Jermaine Dupri.
In addition to her modeling and acting pursuits, Ondrade also made television appearances, showcasing her talents on two different shows. In 2005, she participated in a revealing photo shoot for National Lampoon and took part in the National Lampoon's Strip Poker event, where she impressively placed second last.
In 2006, Ondrade gained widespread recognition as "Smiley" on the VH1 "celebreality" show Flavor of Love. Her charisma and charm captivated audiences, making her a fan favorite.
The same year, Ondrade participated in the World Wrestling Entertainment 2005 Diva Search, vying for the top spot alongside seven other contestants. Although she was eliminated after just two weeks, she remained determined to succeed.
After her elimination, Ondrade showcased her poetic skills by releasing a wrestling-themed poem on the internet. This unique display of creativity demonstrated her deep understanding of the wrestling industry.
In the same year, Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) employed Ondrade as a ring girl, where she worked alongside the talented So Cal Val. This marked a new chapter in her career, as she continued to grow and develop as a performer.
