Lenore Ulric, a renowned character actress, was born on July 21, 1892, in New Ulm, Minnesota. Her illustrious career in the film industry spanned an impressive four decades, from 1915 to 1947, during which she appeared in a total of thirteen movies.
Ulric's professional journey began at the tender age of 23, when she acted in her first production, The Better Woman, in 1915. The Road to Love, released in 1916, marked the beginning of a seven-year hiatus from the big screen. However, she made a triumphant return in 1923, starring in the title role of Tiger Rose, a performance that was met with widespread acclaim.
The years that followed were marked by periods of absence and sporadic appearances on screen. Ulric's next notable roles were in Frozen Justice (1929) and South Sea Rose (1929),both released in the same year. Another lengthy absence ensued, until she re-emerged in Camille (1936).
The 1940s saw Ulric appear in two productions: Temptation (1946) and Two Smart People (1946). Her final film appearance was in Northwest Outpost (1947),after which she bid farewell to the film industry at the age of 55.
Tragically, Ulric's life was cut short when she passed away on December 30, 1970, due to heart failure, at the age of 78, in Orangeburg, New York.
