Leopold's passion for directing began during his college years, where he was pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Journalism.
His first short film, "The Healing Canvas," tells a poignant story of a young widower grappling with the loss of his family during the Christmas holiday season.
The film was shot on location in various parts of New York City, including the Bronx, Washington Heights, and Westchester County.
As of November 2019, Leopold's second short film, "Breathin' & Swingin'," was in production, with filming taking place primarily in the Bronx.
Interestingly, although Leopold was raised in the University Heights section of the Bronx, he has also lived in the northern part of the borough at some point during his life.
