Les Mahoney is a renowned actor, celebrated for his captivating portrayals of offbeat and eccentric characters in both comedic and dramatic roles. His extensive range has allowed him to take on a diverse array of characters, from cunning con men to unsettling psycho killers, and even the president of the Chewbacca Fan Club of North America.
In addition to his acting career, Les is a talented filmmaker, having produced a trio of critically acclaimed films. These include the Film Noir comedy "Mike Case in: The Big Kiss Off", the spy thriller "Available", and the horror-thriller "At Granny's House". Each of these projects has garnered Grand Jury prize awards at film festivals and are now available to stream on the Vagabond Entertainment channel on VHX.
As an individual, Les has received recognition for his outstanding performance as the Film Noir private eye Mike Case in "Mike Case in: The Big Kiss Off", and boasts an impressive résumé, boasting over 90 film, television, and commercial credits since 2008.
Les has also ventured into writing, producing, and directing, with the drama/comedy "Asian Treasure", which was filmed in eight different countries across 2015-2016. The film is currently making its way through the festival circuit.
Furthermore, Les co-wrote, produced, and directed the spy drama "Adrift", which was filmed in Mexico, Japan, and on board a three-week long cruise from Japan to Alaska and Seattle. The film is currently in post-production and is set to premiere in 2021.
Les has penned numerous screenplays, all currently in development through Vagabond Entertainment. These projects include "Cornstalked", adapted from the book of the same name by Patricia Bremmer, "Dancing with Rip", inspired by the Grim Sleeper serial murders, and "It's Good to be a Gangster", a dark gangster comedy.
In his personal life, Les is married to fellow producer Tammy Ridenour, and is the proud father of two children, Brendan and Jillian, as well as two granddaughters, Adelita and Fair.
