Lesley Aletter's formative years were deeply rooted in the entertainment industry, courtesy of her parents, renowned actors Lee Meriwether and Frank Aletter. Growing up surrounded by the glitz and glamour of show business, she naturally attempted to follow in her parents' footsteps, embracing the world of acting.
However, it soon became apparent that Lesley's comfort level in front of the camera was lacking, at least in terms of acting. Nevertheless, her extensive exposure to movie sets from a young age, courtesy of her mother's work on iconic TV shows such as Barnaby Jones (1973) and Star Trek (1966),as well as the feature film Batman: The Movie (1966),proved invaluable in shaping her understanding of the craft.
As a result, Lesley developed a keen appreciation for the behind-the-scenes magic that brings a production to life. This innate understanding of the industry ultimately led her to pursue a career as a stunt double, working alongside an impressive array of talented actresses, including Sigourney Weaver, Lucy Lawless, Minnie Driver, and Brooke Shields, to name a few.
Lesley's remarkable experience as a stunt woman has afforded her a unique perspective and skillset, which she now leverages as the Co Governor for the Stunt Peer Group of the Television Academy.
