Lesley Conroy is a talented and accomplished Irish actor and award-winning writer, having received a nomination from the Irish Film and Television Awards (IFTA) for her outstanding work in the industry.
Best known for her captivating portrayal of Ian Huntley's mother in the popular Netflix series 'Maxine', Lesley has also worked with the renowned production company Merman on the projects 'Bad Sisters' and 'Women on the Verge'.
Lesley's extensive screen credits include 'The Miracle Club', where she shared the screen with esteemed actresses Maggie Smith, Laura Linney, and Kathy Bates, as well as 'The Cured' alongside Elliot Page, 'Life's a Breeze' with Fionnula Flanagan, and the popular RTÉ soap opera 'Fair City', where she played the character Aoife from 2017 to 2019.
In addition to her acting talents, Lesley is fluent in the Irish language and has a wealth of experience as a stage actress and voice-over artist. She has frequently voiced radio dramas and campaigns for multinational clients, and has undergone classical training in acting at Trinity College Dublin, earning a post-graduate degree in Acting studies.
Lesley has also completed further screen training with the renowned acting coach Benjamin Mathes at the Helena Walsh acting studio.
As a new and exciting voice in Irish stage and screen writing, Lesley was the winner of the Scripts Ireland competition in 2020 for her monologue 'Cleaner', which she adapted for the screen under the Screen Ireland/Bow Street academy's Actor as Creator award. The monologue has screened internationally and has won several awards, including Best Cork Short at the 66th Cork International Film Festival and Best International short at the Nottingham Film Festival.
Lesley has recently completed an Advanced Development course with the esteemed acting coach Emmanuel Oberg, further solidifying her position as a talented and accomplished artist in the Irish entertainment industry.
