Leslie's humble beginnings were set against the picturesque backdrop of Saranac Lake, a charming Adirondack Hamlet nestled in Upstate New York, boasting a population of approximately 5,000 residents. This quaint town, famous for being the original site of the National Vaudeville Artists Lodge, which would later be rechristened the Will Rogers Memorial Hospital, provided Leslie with a unique childhood experience. She spent her formative years playing at the William Morris Playground, an environment that undoubtedly instilled in her a sense of excitement and a desire to entertain.
As a young child, Leslie's natural flair for the dramatic was evident, as she began taking gymnastic and ballet classes. By the tender age of four, she was already performing on stage, showcasing her precocious talent. Her passion for the performing arts only intensified as she progressed, and she subsequently attended esteemed institutions such as the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and the Herbert Berghof Studios in New York City. However, it was during this period that Leslie discovered her true calling lay not in acting, but in the fast-paced world of stunts.
