Biography

Lillian (Roberts) Culver, a remarkable individual, was born in Loveland, Colorado, to William Porter Roberts and Clara Ellen Lackey. Her ancestry boasted a distinguished lineage, with her great-great-grandfather being Brigadier General Isaac Roberts, a distinguished military leader who fought valiantly during the War of 1812. Furthermore, her ancestor, Anne (Robertson)(Johnston) Cockrill, was a heroine of the Revolutionary War, and as the sister of James Robertson, she held the esteemed title of "the father of Tennessee."

Lillian's early life took an unexpected turn when she met Harry H. Culver in 1915. Their whirlwind romance led to a swift marriage, and she subsequently put her aspirations as an aspiring actress in silent movies on hold. For nearly four decades, she dedicated herself to her family life, only to rediscover her passion for acting after her husband's untimely passing on August 17, 1946. Following this turning point, Lillian rekindled her acting career, albeit in smaller roles, and made guest appearances on various television shows.
