Linda Carola is a talented actor with a strong musical background, hailing from a family of professional musicians. This upbringing has often led to her being cast in roles that showcase her singing and instrumental skills. For instance, she played the part of the drunk Singing Woman in the Apple+ film WOLFS, which was produced by and starred George Clooney and Brad Pitt. Additionally, she appeared as "Mama" who plays harmonica and sings in the St. Vincent movie "The Nowhere Inn".
Recently, audiences may have seen her in the final season of Curb Your Enthusiasm as The Judge. Growing up, Linda was surrounded by music, as her family members would regularly jam together at home, even with the legendary jazz guitarist Pat Martino when he was a young musician. This environment sparked her dream to pursue a career in the performing arts. She quickly enrolled in a theater program at Pittsburgh Playhouse after being inspired by her first Broadway show, Sweeney Todd, starring Angela Lansbury.
Early in her career, Linda was cast in various film roles, including a factory worker in the movie Mrs Soffel with Diane Keaton, and a tough cashier opposite Michael Keaton in the Ron Howard film Gung Ho. She earned her Screen Actors Guild card for her performance. Later, she appeared in the movie Kingpin, as the edgy diner waitress opposite Bill Murray and Woody Harrelson.
During her time working in theater and films in New York, Linda was cast in The PBS American Playhouse production of Darrow opposite Kevin Spacey, and a Principal role as the bad employee opposite Ming Na Wen in a corporate training film. She holds a degree in theater from Point Park College, where she studied acting, voice, and directing under the direction of the Pittsburgh Playhouse.
Linda has also had the opportunity to participate in an improv workshop with the late Martin de Maat, co-founder of Chicago's 'Second City' training center. She is a member of SAG-AFTRA and The Blues Foundation, NOW, and currently resides in Los Angeles.
