Linda Evans is a renowned American television actress, born Linda Evenstad on November 18, 1942, in Hartford, Connecticut. She is the second of three daughters to professional dancers who moved to Hollywood when Linda was just six months old.
Evans began her acting career at the age of 14, taking drama classes to overcome her shyness. She landed her first guest-starring role on the television series "Bachelor Father" at 15, starring alongside John Forsythe, who would later become her co-star on "Dynasty".
Throughout the 1960s, Evans guest-starred on various popular television shows, including "The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet", "Wagon Train", "My Favorite Martian", and "The Big Valley", where she played the role of Audra Barkley, daughter of Victoria Barkley, played by Barbara Stanwyck.
In the 1970s and 1980s, Evans continued to appear in numerous television shows, including "McCloud", "The Rockford Files", "North & South: Book 2, Love & War", and "Hunter", where she co-starred as secret agent Marty Shaw.
Evans' most iconic role was as Krystle Carrington on the ABC primetime soap opera "Dynasty", which she played from 1981 to 1989. She won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a TV Drama series in 1982 and was nominated five times for the award. She also won five People's Choice Awards as Favorite Actress in a Drama Series and was nominated for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series in 1983.
