Linda Shayne is a multi-talented individual who has made a name for herself in the entertainment industry as an award-winning writer, director, and creator. With a strong educational background from UC Berkeley, Shayne's career began with a stint in mental hospitals, where she wrote articles about San Quentin State Prison ex-offenders.
She then transitioned to the world of film and television, where she created a scripted TV series for Quincy Jones' QDE, two animated TV series for Warner Bros., and wrote movies for Showtime, Disney, Imagine, and Paramount. Her impressive portfolio also includes directing for Nickelodeon, Warner Bros., MPCA, and Paramount.
In 2022, Shayne ventured into new territory by creating a dramedy TV series to be filmed in Thailand, as well as writing and directing a documentary about a Thai trans-woman billionaire.
One of Shayne's most notable achievements is her suspense thriller, "Mirror Image", which won her a directing award at the Freedom Festival International in 2019. The film has since become a finalist at the Lisbon Film Rendezvous, the Big Apple Film Festival, and the Florence Film Festival, where it took home the top prize.
Shayne has also developed dramatic movies for Muse Entertainment of Montreal and X-Filme of Germany, as well as a romantic comedy for Patriot Entertainment of Los Angeles.
Her extensive filmography includes a feature film starring Ned Beatty, Neil Patrick Harris, Shelley Winters, Little Richard, and Thora Birch, as well as the family film "Undercover Kid", which was released on Warner Bros. and aired on HBO Family.
Shayne's impressive directorial credits also include "Little Ghost", shot in Romania for Paramount, and "Flyin' Ryan", filmed in northern California. Her first feature film, "Purple People Eater", earned actress Thora Birch a Youth in Film Award.
Currently, Shayne is developing an edgy comedy/drama TV pilot set in a federal prison, a romantic comedy feature, and an espionage thriller. She has also recently written a children's book, illustrated by Emmy Award-winning animator Art Leonardi.
In addition to her creative endeavors, Shayne has also written the English translation of Dord Krstic's non-fiction book "Mileva and Albert Einstein: Their Love and Scientific Collaboration", which is sold at the Einstein Museum House in Switzerland.
Shayne's future projects include an epic drama to be shot in Europe next year and has served as a judge for the Content Asia Awards in 2021 and 2022.
