Lindsey is a highly accomplished individual with a rich background in the entertainment industry. Born in Toronto and Montreal, Lindsey began her acting career at the tender age of 10, starring in the lead role of Young People's Theatre's musical production of 'Babe'. This marked the beginning of a long and illustrious career in musicals, movies-of-the-week, and eventually, classical theatre.
In her late 20s, Lindsey discovered her passion for improvisation, sketch comedy, and screenwriting, which led her to the esteemed Second City and the Humber School of Comedy Writing and Performance. She further honed her comedy skills at L.A's famed Groundlings school, where she wrote and developed many short stories and film scripts.
Lindsey's writing and screenwriting talents began to gain recognition, earning her a quarterfinalist spot at the Nicholls Fellowship, a winner of the Screenplay Getaway Prize at the Worldwide Short Film Festival, and a shortlisted candidate for the CBC literary prize. Her award-winning short films, "The Big 1-0" and "Bare Knuckle Duet", showcased her unique storytelling style and received critical acclaim.
As her writing career flourished, Lindsey continued to act, landing numerous roles in film and television. However, she became increasingly aware of the scarcity of meaningful roles for women in their 40s. In response, Lindsey started a stationery and greeting card company called "Tense and Urgent", which allowed her to express her creativity through illustration and dark humor.
Lindsey also shifted her focus from writing to teaching, serving as a Script Development Officer at the Female Eye Film Festival in Toronto for four years. This experience deepened her understanding of the importance of nurturing writers and led her to pursue a career as a coach. Lindsey is now certified by the Co-Active Coaching academy and has received significant training at ADDCA (Attention Deficit Disorder Coaching Academy).
Lindsey's coaching endeavors aim to bring out the best in her clients, regardless of their background or profession. She currently resides in Toronto with her two children, aged 9 and 11, and continues to be a beacon of creative talent and inspiration.
