Lindsey Shaw was born in the city of Lincoln, located in the state of Nebraska. Prior to relocating to the city of Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting, Lindsey and her mother regularly traveled from Lincoln to Kansas City, a distance of approximately 350 miles, to participate in local print advertisements and commercials. This frequent travel arrangement continued for several months, with Lindsey and her mother making the round trip to Kansas City twice a month.
In the year 2002, Lindsey and her mother decided to make a permanent move to Los Angeles, a city known for its thriving entertainment industry. Almost immediately upon their arrival, Lindsey was introduced to acting teacher Jeremiah Comey, who has since become her mentor and guide. Through Comey's referral, Lindsey was introduced to her longtime manager, Pat Cutler, who is the founder of Cutler Management.
Shaw's early acting career was marked by a significant breakthrough when she landed the role of Jennifer "Moze" Mosely in the popular Nickelodeon television series Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide. This role, which she played from 2004 to 2007, earned her widespread recognition and acclaim. In addition to her work on Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide, Shaw also appeared in the short-lived CW sitcom Aliens in America, playing the role of Claire, the popular younger sister.
In recent years, Lindsey Shaw has continued to appear in a variety of television shows and films, including the ABC Family revival of the 1999 romantic comedy 10 Things I Hate About You. In this revival, Shaw played the role of Kat, a character that was originally portrayed by Julia Stiles in the 1999 film.
When she is not working on a project, Lindsey enjoys engaging in a variety of hobbies and interests. One of her favorite pastimes is cheering on her hometown Nebraska Cornhuskers, the athletic teams of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
