Lisa Masters was born in Omaha, Nebraska, but her childhood and formative years were spent in Asheville, North Carolina, where she initially pursued a career in news reporting after graduating from Appalachian State University's esteemed Broadcasting program with a minor in Modern Dance.
Following her academic achievements, Lisa relocated to New York City, where she explored modeling opportunities with Ford Models while concurrently attending Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism to earn her Master's Degree. However, her professional trajectory took an unexpected turn when she was cast as a reporter in the 1998 film "The Siege," directed by Edward Zwick. Although her scenes were ultimately edited out of the final cut, this experience instilled a newfound passion for acting within her, prompting her to abandon her news journalism aspirations and instead focus on her burgeoning acting career.
Throughout her acting journey, Lisa has appeared in over 30 television commercials, as well as a diverse range of films, including "The Stepford Wives" (2004) and "Blumenthal" (2013),alongside Laila Robins.
