Biography

Lissette Espaillat's life journey commenced on January 28th, a day that marked the beginning of a remarkable journey for the talented individual. Born to loving Dominican parents in the vibrant neighborhood of Upper Manhattan's Washington Heights, Lissette's early years were filled with the rhythmic beats of music and the fluid movements of dance.

As a young child, she immersed herself in the world of dance, mastering the techniques of ballet, jazz, and modern dance. Her passion for movement was evident, and her parents encouraged her to pursue her dreams. Meanwhile, during her grade school years, Lissette discovered a hidden talent for theater, and she began to participate in various productions.

However, despite her natural flair for the spotlight, Lissette tended to stay behind the scenes, content to work in the shadows, observing and learning from the performers who took center stage. This unique blend of creativity and humility would serve her well as she continued to grow and develop as a performer.

After completing her high school education, she embarked on a journey to further her artistic pursuits by enrolling at Parsons: The New School in New York City, where she sought to acquire a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in both Drama and Photography.

Lissettte embarked upon a diverse array of off-off-Broadway theatrical productions, showcasing her remarkable talent in notable plays such as "Fool for Love", "Running", and "The Captives".

In the year 2003, she was extended an esteemed invitation to portray the captivating character of 'Dulcinea' in a modern musical reimagining of the timeless classic "Don Quixote".

Subsequently, in the year 2004, she began collaborating with the illustrious Bill Hopkins at the esteemed Stella Adler Acting Academy, who offered her invaluable guidance and encouragement, ultimately inspiring her to pursue a more prominent career in the realm of film.
