Gary "Litefoot" Davis, an enrolled member of the Cherokee Nation, has been a prominent figure in Indian Country for nearly three decades. His accomplishments in music, film, and television have earned him widespread recognition, including eight award-winning albums and starring roles in notable films such as The Indian in the Cupboard and appearances on television programs like House of Cards.
Davis recently launched IndigiStudios, an indigenous film and production company focused on reclaiming the indigenous narrative in film and television. The company's first project is the documentary short film Strong Hearts: An Indigenous Love Letter to My Sons, written and directed by Davis. This will be followed by several other film projects that he intends to write, direct, or produce.
In 2022, Davis will lend his voice acting talents to various roles in an upcoming animated indigenous children's cartoon series for Netflix.
