Biography

Liz Laird, originally Elizabeth Ann Robertson, was born in Rochester, Minnesota. Her early start in acting began in elementary school, where she landed her first role as the young princess in a production of the Brothers Grimm's "Rumplestiltzkin". For this role, her mother refitted her into her own wedding dress for the final wedding scene. Later, Liz left Minnesota and relocated to Chicago, her mother's hometown, where she made the decision to seriously pursue a career in acting.

She started her journey at the renowned Improv Olympic, where she worked alongside the esteemed Del Close. To further hone her craft, Liz attended DePaul University, formerly known as the Goodman School of Acting, where she studied under the guidance of Joyce Hiller Piven and Byrne Piven at The Piven School, as well as the acclaimed Uta Hagen. Liz's academic pursuits culminated in her receiving a Master of Fine Arts degree in Theatre from the University of Arizona. Today, Liz resides in Los Angeles.
