Liz María Solari Poggio was born on June 18, 1983, in Barranquilla, Colombia, to Argentine parents. Her father, Eduardo Solari, was a soccer coach who had been hired to manage Atlético Junior, and the family returned to Argentina when Liz was just three years old.
Liz's early career began in 2001 when she won the contest of Francisco Dotto's agency Dotto Models, launching her modeling career. She went on to work with top designers such as Roberto Cavalli and Jean-Paul Gaultier, and became the face of several major brands.
In 2006, Liz began to study acting, driven by her artistic curiosity. She landed her first major role in the 2008 film High School Musical: El Desafío, the Argentinean version of High School Musical. She then starred in the play Barbie Live!, touring South America and performing live.
In 2010, Liz moved to London, England, to pursue a Master's Degree in Acting at the Central School of Speech and Drama. She then co-starred with Enrico Brignano in the Italian film Ex 2: Still Friends? (2011) and starred in the comedy Gourmet Wars (2012).
Liz continued to appear in films and television shows throughout the 2010s, including Evil Woman (2013),Sos mi hombre (2012),Amapola (2014),First Law (2017),and Permitidos (2016). She also hosted the program Il Meglio d'Italia (2014) with Enrico Brignano and starred in the films Ever Been to the Moon? (2015) and The Last Prosecco (2017).
In 2018, Liz began hosting the travel program Resto del mundo on Canal 13, replacing Iván de Pineda. She has also appeared in the international action-mystery film The Last Man (2019) alongside Harvey Keitel and Hayden Christensen, and has a supporting role in the film Ex casados (2021).
