Biography

Liza Oxnard, the talented musician, and her band, Zuba, had the privilege of sharing the stage with renowned artists such as Willie Nelson and Blues Traveller during their extensive touring escapades from 1991 to 1998. This impressive tenure was marked by a significant breakthrough when the Farrelly brothers stumbled upon them in a pub in Aspen, Colorado, and subsequently used three of their songs in the movies 'There's Something About Mary' and 'Kingpin'.

As her musical endeavors continued to flourish, Liza went on to form her own Americana band, "Liza", and penned songs for the independent film, "Scrapple". Her creative output also extended to the soundtrack of "Winter Break (aka Sheer Bliss)", as well as an acting role as "Liza", the bakery manager and local rock star. Music fans can relive Liza's performance with her band in the party scene of Winter Break.

Liza's impressive film and music credits also include Warren Miller's "Snowriders". Throughout her career, she has had the opportunity to perform across the United States with her current band, opening for notable acts such as The String Cheese Incident, Ben Harper, Patty Griffin, Norah Jones, Loudon Wainwright, MoFro, and Spearhead.
