Lol Creme, a talented musician, was one of the four members of the groundbreaking 1970s art group 10cc, renowned for their chart-topping hit "I'm Not In Love" and their eclectic repertoire of witty underground favorites, including "Life is a Minestrone", "The Wall Street Shuffle", and "Art for Art Sake".
Lol Creme left the band in the mid-1970s, along with fellow art-school graduate Kevin Godley, and the duo pioneered the use of the "Gizmo", a guitar synthesizer, which they showcased on the ambitious 3-record box set "Consequences".
As they continued to release studio albums, Godley and Creme found their talents as music video directors increasingly in demand, producing award-winning shorts for notable artists such as Herbie Hancock ("Rockit"),Sting and the Police ("Every Breath You Take"),and Duran Duran ("Girls on Film") among others.
Their own song "Cry" was the inspiration for another groundbreaking video, pioneering the use of the "morphing" technique, in which one face transmutes into another.
Most recently, Kevin and Lol directed videos for the new Beatles releases, "Free as a Bird" and "Real Love".
