Kirke was born in London, but her life took a significant turn at the tender age of five when her family relocated to New York City, where she spent the majority of her formative years. Her father, Simon Kirke, boasts an impressive musical pedigree, having served as the drummer for the renowned rock bands Bad Company and Free. Her mother, Lorraine (née Dellal) Kirke, is the proud owner of Geminola, a vintage boutique in New York City that has gained recognition for supplying a multitude of outfits for the popular television series Sex and the City, which premiered in 1998.
It's worth noting that Kirke's father hails from a mixed heritage, with roots in both England and Scotland. Her maternal grandfather, Jack Dellal, was a successful British businessman of Iraqi Jewish descent, while her maternal grandmother was Israeli. Kirke is one of three sisters, with her siblings being Jemima Kirke and Domino Kirke. Furthermore, she is connected to her extended family through her cousin, the esteemed curator Alexander Dellal, as well as her model cousin Alice Dellal.
After completing her academic pursuits, Kirke graduated from Bard College in 2012, marking a significant milestone in her educational journey.
