Lorraine Randall, also referred to as Lorraine Hayes, was born on April 12, 1910, in the vibrant city of Chicago, Illinois. As a talented actress, she embarked on a brief yet notable career that spanned a mere five films, all of which were released within the calendar year of 1937.
Although three of her film appearances were minor to supporting roles, she managed to secure leading lady roles in two low-budget films, The Law Commands and Doomed at Sundown. Notably, she took on a significant supporting role as recently widowed Mary Cassidy, the sister-in-law of the iconic Hopalong Cassidy (William Boyd),in the eleventh installment of the highly successful Hopalong series, North of the Rio Grande.
What's more, this film marked a unique occasion, as it was the only cinematic collaboration between Lorraine Randall and her sister, the accomplished actress and singer Bernadene Hayes. Unfortunately, Lorraine Randall's life came to a close on April 25, 1969, in Los Angeles, bringing an end to her illustrious yet relatively short-lived acting career.
