Tommy D'Angeli is a renowned American marketing professional with a storied background in professional wrestling management. He currently serves as the Director of Marketing and Public Relations for the prestigious Cirque du Soleil shows in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Prior to his current role, D'Angeli gained extensive experience in the world of professional wrestling, making a name for himself as the manager of several notable wrestlers. He first rose to prominence in the late 1990s and early 2000s with Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW),where he went by the ring names Sign Guy Dudley and Lou E. Dangerously.
D'Angeli's tenure with ECW spanned from 1995 to 2001, during which time he became a fan favorite for his charismatic persona and innovative management style. Following ECW's bankruptcy, he went on to work with other prominent professional wrestling companies, including Combat Zone Wrestling, PWF, and MECW.
In addition to his work behind the scenes, D'Angeli has made sporadic appearances in the ring, most notably as a manager for Alexis Laree (Mickie James) and Justin Credible in February 2003. He also made a cameo appearance at the 2006 WWE ECW One Night Stand pay-per-view event, where Rob Van Dam defeated John Cena for the WWE Title.
More recently, D'Angeli has appeared as part of Montel Vontavious Porter's entourage on Saturday Night's Main Event, and as Lou E. Dangerously at ACID FEST in honor of Trent Acid in July 2010.
In March 2012, D'Angeli returned to professional wrestling with Billy Corgan's Resistance Pro, a promotion based out of Chicago, where he was brought in to write for the shows and help develop talent.
Throughout his career, D'Angeli has demonstrated a keen understanding of the wrestling industry, having worked with some of the most prominent promotions in the business. His extensive experience in marketing and public relations has also served him well, as he has worked for World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and Comcast Spectacor/Global Spectrum.
D'Angeli's most recent role was as Director of Live Events Promotions & Booking for WWE, a position he held from June 2006 until August 15, 2010. Prior to that, he served as Director of Promotions and Event Marketing, a role he took on in May 2007.
Before being recruited by WWE, D'Angeli worked as the Director of Marketing and Assistant General Manager for Comcast Spectacor/Global Spectrum, overseeing marketing and operations for several arenas throughout the United States, including the Wachovia Center, Budweiser Events Center, and Liacouras Center.
