Louis Paxton, a cinematic prodigy, hails from Edinburgh, Scotland, where his passion for filmmaking first took root. After honing his craft at the prestigious Royal Conservatoire in Glasgow, Louis pursued an MA in Directing at the National Film and Television School, setting the stage for a illustrious career.
Throughout his tenure, Louis has amassed an impressive repertoire of short films, spanning a diverse range of genres and styles. From whimsical mockumentaries to lavish musical comedies, his creations have garnered widespread acclaim and numerous festival awards.
One of his most recent and notable projects is the short film Satan Has A Bushy Tail, which was completed as part of Film London's shorts scheme and has earned a multitude of best comedy awards during its festival circuit.
Louis's debut television project, the Sci-Fi sitcom The Spare Room, caught the attention of the BAFTA Rocliffe drama forum in 2014 and subsequently secured a production deal with BBC comedy. This breakthrough led to the development of several other projects, including 21 And Over, Foolproof, and The Squat, in collaboration with Sue Vertue and Hartswood Films.
In addition to his television endeavors, Louis is currently working on several feature film projects. He is co-writing Method alongside writer Laurie Nunn and is also developing Folked Up in partnership with Creative England/Film London.
In 2016, Louis was selected as one of the top ten writers for the Betty and Peter List, a prestigious compilation of exceptional talent in UK feature film comedy, compiled by the CTBF, Big Talk, and LOCO film fest.
Louis is currently in development with the Scottish Film Talent Network on his debut feature film as Writer/Director, The Incomer.
