Louise has recently directed four episodes of the highly acclaimed series RINGS OF POWER, LORD OF THE RINGS, exclusively for Amazon. Prior to this, she served as the lead director on the propulsive thriller TREASON for Netflix, showcasing her versatility and expertise in different genres.
Her impressive portfolio also includes directing both the finale and bonus episode of Neil Gaiman's SANDMAN for Warner Bros / Netflix. Additionally, she has directed episodes of the Netflix hit THE WITCHER and the UK's most prestigious comedy, INSIDE NUMBER 9, for the BBC. Her limited series include FLESH & BLOOD, starring Academy nominees Imelda Staunton and Stephen Rae, and CHEAT, an acclaimed 4-part thriller starring BAFTA leading actress Molly Windsor.
Louise began her career directing Arts documentaries for the BBC and was BAFTA nominated for OUR GAY WEDDING: THE MUSICAL. Throughout her journey, she has developed a reputation for creating an infectious and collaborative energy on set, prioritizing a supportive, joyous, and safe space for the cast and crew to thrive.
Currently, Louise is focusing on her original slate of development for her company Louise Hooper Films, bringing her unique vision and expertise to new and exciting projects.
