Louise Linton was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, and attended St. George's School for Girls and Fettes College, a prestigious boarding school in the heart of the city. As a young girl, she began professional training as an actress at The Edinburgh Drama Academy. She later trained with a private coach from The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts, earning her certificate with honors.
After completing her education, Linton spent some of her gap year serving as a volunteer in Northern Zambia before embarking on college in the United States. She acquired a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Pepperdine University, followed by her Juris Doctorate in Law from the University of West Los Angeles.
During her time in the United States, Linton began acting in film and television, starting with a guest role on the TV series 'CSI: NY.' She then appeared in several independent films, including 'Lions for Lambs' alongside Tom Cruise and Meryl Streep, and 'The Echo.' Her breakthrough role came when she joined the cast of the indie comedy 'Screwball,' playing a comedic news reporter.
Linton's subsequent roles included a supporting part in the horror film 'Crew 2 Crew,' which was filmed on location in Italy, and a lead role in the sci-fi film 'Scavengers' opposite Sean Patrick Flanery. She also appeared in the comedy 'She Wants Me' alongside Charlie Sheen and Hillary Duff, and the gritty crime drama 'The Power of Few' with Christopher Walken and Christian Slater.
In 2011, Linton starred in the Lifetime movie 'William & Kate,' a biopic about the royal couple. She then appeared in the Off-Broadway play 'Manipulation' at the Cherry Lane Theater in New York. The following year, she traveled to Alabama to film the Hallmark Hall of Fame movie 'A Smile As Big As The Moon' starring John Corbett.
Linton graduated from law school in 2012, winning the Reuters Witkin Award for Academic Excellence in Trial Advocacy. After law school, she formed Stormchaser Films, an independent motion picture production company focused on script and IP acquisition, development, and finance. The company's first feature film was released in 2016, with several more titles in development.
In addition to her acting and producing career, Linton is a passionate advocate for people and animals. She serves on the Board of Mattel's Children's Hospital UCLA, the Board of Trustees for her British boarding school, Fettes College, and is an Ambassador for several organizations, including the Scottish Butterfly Trust for Cystic Fibrosis, Mutt Match Animal Rescue Los Angeles, and PAL 'Protecting African Lions.'
