Biography

Lucia Frangione is a renowned, internationally acclaimed actor and author, boasting an impressive repertoire of thirty stage plays to her name. As she continues to make a name for herself in the industry, she is now venturing into the world of film.

Some of her notable stage plays include Disrupted, Kindred, The Thin Man, Espresso, Leave of Absence, Fresco, Paradise Garden, Cariboo Magi, Christmas on the Air, and Chickens. Currently, she is working on a new play in development with the Firehall Theatre.

As an accomplished actor, Lucia has had the opportunity to work with various regional theatres across Canada. Her recent roles include Rosida in Fado at Firehall Theatre/Puente, Countess in All's Well that Ends Well at Bard on the Beach, Annie Wilkes in Misery at the Arts Club, Emma in Annapurna at Christy Webb productions, Jesse in Farewell My Lovely at Vertigo Theatre, Vicki in Except In the Unlikely Event of War at PiTheatre/Horseshoes & Hand Grenades, Estelle in No Exit at ACT, San Francisco, Myrtle in Brief Encounter at The Vancouver Playhouse and Manitoba Theatre Centre, PG in NiX at Alberta Theatre Projects, and Pam in The Full Monty at Persephone Theatre, SK.

In addition to her stage work, Lucia has also published her debut novel, Grazie, which has become a bestseller in British Columbia and is published with Talon Books.

Throughout her illustrious career, Lucia has received numerous awards and accolades, including the Outstanding Actor in a Leading Role Jessie Richardson Award (Vancouver),the Gordon Armstrong Award (twice) (Vancouver),the Sydney Risk Playwriting Award (Vancouver),the CAEA Emerging Artist Award (Canada),and the Unknown Country Award (NY, NY).

Lucia currently resides in Vancouver, BC, with her husband, daughter, and stepson.
