Luisi Pistilli's remarkable stage career was marked by standout performances in notable productions such as Bertolt Brecht's "The Threepenny Opera", Bertolt Brecht and Ernst Busch's "St. Joan of the Stockyards", and Alban Berg's "Lulu" in 1972.
He reprised his role in "Lulu" in 1991, collaborating with the talented actress-singer Milva, his partner in both stage and private life, in a four-year relationship. Pistilli's most iconic roles were in Francesco Rosi's critically acclaimed "Illustrious Corpses" (1976),Lino Del Fra's biographical drama "Antonio Gramsci: i giorni del carcere" (1977),Carlo Lizzani's transnational co-production "The Bandit" (1969),and Sergio Leone's classic Westerns "For a Few Dollars More" (1965) and "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" (1966),where he played the memorable role of priest Pablo Ramirez, the brother of Eli Wallach's character Tuco.
In addition to his film work, Pistilli was also a prolific television actor, appearing in numerous productions, including the popular Mafia series "La piovra" (1984),directed by Luigi Perelli.
