Luis Arrieta, a renowned Mexican actor, was born and raised in Mexico City, the son of Sandra Joffe, an ophthalmologist, and Luis Antonio Arrieta, a public accountant and entrepreneur. He is the older brother of three siblings.
As a young man, Luis's passion was math, and he had his heart set on becoming an actuary. However, his life took an unexpected turn when he accidentally stumbled upon an acting class at the age of 18 in the year 2000. He has joked about mistaking the "actuary" classroom door for the "acting" door, as both words share a similar pronunciation in Spanish.
Luis's discovery of acting led to a profound transformation, and he subsequently rejected a math scholarship to pursue an acting career. Today, he is one of the most recognized and accomplished actors of his generation, with a diverse body of work in film, theater, and television.
