Luis Vega is a multifaceted individual who has established a remarkable career as an actor, writer, and educator, with over two decades of experience in the entertainment industry. Based in Brooklyn, New York, Vega has worked extensively in various mediums, including theater, film, television, commercials, and voiceovers.
In the realm of New York theater, Vega has had the privilege of performing in numerous productions, including BUENA VISTA SOCIAL CLUB at the Atlantic Theater Company, TARTUFFE at Moliere in the Park, THE GETT at Rattlestick Theater, HINDSIGHT at Fault Line Theater Company, THE UNDERLYING CHRIS at Second Stage, TELL HECTOR I MISS HIM at Atlantic Theater Company, and i thought i would die but i didn’t at New Georges/The Tank.
Vega has also had the opportunity to work in regional theater, with notable productions including LAUGHS IN SPANISH at the Denver Center, CHANGE AGENT at Arena Stage, THE HUMANS on the Broadway National Tour, WHERE STORMS ARE BORN at Williamstown, THE UNDERPANTS at the Old Globe, SEIZE THE KING at La Jolla Playhouse, and AS YOU LIKE IT at the Guthrie.
In addition to his work in theater, Vega has also appeared in several film and television projects, including "BLUE BLOODS" on CBS, "THE GOOD FIGHT" on Paramount+, "MADAM SECRETARY" on CBS, and ANOTHER EARTH, a film released by Fox Searchlight.
As an educator, Vega has taught acting technique and scene study at both the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) and the New York Film Academy. His original play, THE LAST BARNSTORM, won Teatro Vivo's Austin Latino New Play Festival in 2017.
Vega is an Associate Artist with Fault Line Theatre and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Columbia University, as well as a Master of Fine Arts degree in Acting from UCSD. Throughout his career, he has had the privilege of studying under renowned instructors, including William Esper, Kristin Linklater, Austin Pendleton, and Bob Krakower.
