Biography

Lydia's academic and professional journey began with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the prestigious theatre program at Southern Methodist University, a renowned institution that has produced a long list of accomplished artists and performers.

In addition to her formal education, Lydia also had the privilege of training at The Moscow Art Theater, a world-renowned institution with a rich history of producing some of the most talented actors and directors in the industry. This experience undoubtedly honed her skills and provided her with a unique perspective on the art of acting.

Furthermore, Lydia's training at the Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB),a highly respected improvisational comedy troupe, allowed her to develop her improvisational skills and think on her feet, making her a versatile and well-rounded performer.

Standing at six feet tall, Lydia is indeed the shortest of her siblings, a fact that may have contributed to her decision to pursue a career in acting, where height is not always a determining factor in success.

Lydia's transition from sports to acting began at the age of 13, when she enrolled in classes at The Denver Center Theatre Academy, a highly respected institution located just north of her childhood home in Aurora, Colorado. This marked the beginning of her formal training as an actor, and she has since gone on to hone her craft through private singing lessons with the incomparable Gene Roberts, with whom she studied for six years.
