Lynne Alana Delaney, a native of Southern California, boasts a timeless beauty that is a testament to her 100% Irish heritage. As the fifth child in a long line of Delaney overachievers who migrated from Chicago, she credits her strong goal-oriented yet creative personality to both her father, a Time/Motivation Manager in the garment industry, and her mother, a fashion design enthusiast who later became a homemaker.
Delaney's aspirations to attend Pasadena Playhouse after high school were thwarted by the closure of their theatrical school, prompting her to pursue a more traditional academic route. She initially attended Santa Monica College and later earned her B.A. at UCLA. However, her academic journey took an unexpected turn when she became interested in law and began practicing immigration law, concurrently with a successful career as a Flight Attendant that took her around the globe.
Eventually, Delaney's passion for acting led her to rekindle her early dreams. Fluent in Spanish, thanks to her Argentine-born husband, Ruben Roberto Gomez, an actor himself, she is also proficient in 27 languages, having learned to say "please," "thank you," and "Can I get you something to drink?" in various tongues during her travels.
In her free time, Delaney enjoys creating, whether it be painting abstract art in her studio, writing new scripts, or adding her own gourmet flair to recipes. Her personal background includes stints in background acting and continued study at the Conservatory, as well as coaching sessions with esteemed instructors like Brian Reise and Mark Teschner. Delaney feels that she is finally reaching her artistic destination with her work on both stage and screen.
