Madelyn Deutch is a multi-talented individual from Los Angeles, California, who has made a name for herself in the entertainment industry as a writer, actor, director, and musician.
Her journey began as a singer, with a significant portion of her childhood spent performing on stage at charity events. This led to her admission into the prestigious Los Angeles County High School for the Arts, where she honed her skills in music and participated in esteemed institutions such as the Grammy Ensemble, the Monterey Jazz Festival, and the National Foundation for the Advancement of the Arts, earning the Silver Award.
Upon graduation, Madelyn was offered a scholarship to attend The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music, with a concentration in voice. However, she soon shifted her focus to filmmaking and composing, graduating with honors. She went on to act in independent films like "50-1" and "Windsor," as well as television shows such as the History mini-series "Texas Rising" and Cinemax's "Outcast."
Throughout her career, Madelyn has been driven to pursue her passions, including raising funds for her first feature as a screenwriter, "The Year of Spectacular Men." The film was shot in late 2015, with Madelyn taking on the lead role and composing the musical score. She is currently working on an original short film, music videos, and developing multiple projects for television, with her next feature film project already in the works - one that she will not only write but also direct and score.
