In 2018, Houang's talent and dedication were recognized with a VSCO Voices Creator Grant, which enabled her to bring her vision to life with the short film In Full Bloom. This critically acclaimed project starred the renowned actress Kieu Chinh, best known for her iconic role in The Joy Luck Club.
